Saturday, 31 October, 2015

We were saddened to hear, yesterday morning, from Lady Neale that her husband Sir Gerry Neale had passed away on Wednesday 28th October after a very brave and courageous fight against melanoma cancer.

Sir Gerry, who was 74, was our MP from 1979 until 1992 and served our constituency with great distinction receiving a Knighthood in Baroness Thatcher's retirement Honours.

On behalf of the Association our Chairman, Mr Martin Saunders, will be conveying our condolences to Lady Neale and her family.

A funeral service of thanksgiving will be held at 11.30am on Monday 9th November, 2015 in the Parish Church of St Anne, Kew, Surrey.

Lady Neale has requested that there be family flowers only please but donations can be sent to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Further enquiries can be made with the Funeral Directors, Patrick Ryan and Daughter on 0208 567 1664.
