Big Data, Cloud Computing, Social Media, Artificial Intelligence..... Technology is changing the world and transforming our lives. Many tasks performed by humans today will be automated in the future. The Digital Age has many benefits but also has consequences which can potentially be harmful. Join the Conservative Policy Forum on Monday 1st October at 7pm in the Camelford Conservative Club for a lively debate on the Digital Age with questions such as:-
- To what extent do you view the digital age as a force for good?
- Finding the balance between encouraging tech innovation and mitigating tech’s harms is crucial to the tech revolution. What are the most important areas you think Government should be focusing on in order to achieve this?
- British tech start-ups are vital to the UK tech industry. What more can we do to support our entrepreneurs of the future?
- Social media has experienced serious challenges recently. How active should Government be in addressing the challenges posed by social media?
- How concerned are you that the automation of jobs will put many people out of work? Do you think the creation of new jobs from the tech revolution will be sufficient?
