NEW CONSULTATION: Natural Environment
How do we leave a stronger natural inheritance for future generations while balancing the need for food production, housing and economic growth?
Our latest consultation explores some of the biggest challenges facing the natural environment, from habitat loss and invasive species to climate change and pollution. It also asks how we can better support nature recovery while recognising the important role of farmers, local communities and private investment.
Key questions include:
How should we support and reward nature-friendly farming?
Which native species should we prioritise protecting, and how?
What is the right balance between public and private funding for nature recovery?
How do we reconcile competing demands on land use?
